Committed winemakers
Discover the men and women of the Vignerons & Terroirs de Lantignié association, their philosophy, their commitment, and the range of appellations they produce.
Originally from Lower Normandy, he studied civil engineering.
When he finished his studies in 2016, he tried his hand at harvesting in the Beaujolais region, more specifically in Odenas, at Domaine Champier, with Marie-Claude. It was there that he had a true revelation: the magnificent Beaujolais landscape, Gamay grapes, the unique atmosphere of the grape harvest, the friendly family spirit… He then decided he would become a winemaker.
He was confirmed in his choice by an Italian cousin who told him that, not so long ago, his Italian ancestors from Piedmont chose either masonry or winegrowing as a profession. Leaving building aside, Bruno-Marie made his choice: it would be the vine.
Bruno-Marie completed his technical diploma in viticulture and oenology in Marseille, under a sandwich course at the Domaine de la Mongestine, where he already had a good insight into organic viticulture and wine-making with a minimum of inputs. After some experience in Provence, he returned to the Beaujolais region: “It was in the Beaujolais that my vocation for the vine was born, so it was an obvious choice for me to come back and settle there. And once you’ve tasted Gamay, you’re addicted!
He met Frédéric Berne, with whom he got on very well, and worked with him for just over a year. He confirmed his desire for organic viticulture, combining different farming practices based on agroforestry, agroecology, biodynamics and so on. All with one aim in mind: to respect the soil, the terroirs, the grapes and, in the end, the wine.
Confirmed installation at Lantignié on a small 88-acre plot at Le Morne, with the hope of a first vintage in 2023. The adventure has only just begun!
